Thanks cAbES, but I've been waffling over this for months now.  If there was a 35 I'd probably get it but I think I'll try my luck with the 34.  I'm just not comfortable sizing up 2.  If I can't get them on I may switch but if I can get them up and buttoned, I'll tough it out for a few weeks.

Good luck with your quest. I'm in the same boat as you regarding sizing - if only there was a 35!!

I took a punt on a 34 and lost. I'm afraid the 36 will be too big, so I'm gonna wait for the OD BB to return instead.

My 34 XHS is pretty roomy so I'm holding out hope.  In actuality I may be a true 33 I'm just used to buying jeans that fit off the rack rather than giving them time to stretch.  Or maybe I'm deluding myself.  That's probably it.  Anyway, if the OD doesn't work I'll just get the regular 666 and do a not so hot soak.  I'd rather stick w/ that than forsake the Devil.

should you still do an initial soak on these
(since overdye gets rid of the shrinking)

or can you get away with not soaking
i remember someone(giles?) saying in one of the threads before that
soaking increases the life of unsanforized denim

does this apply to overdyed denim as well?

No need to soak them.  The overdyeing has done all the soaking/shrinking necessary….

So I'm not sure how… but there appears to be a size 34 on the SE website.  I was tempted but I've been harassing Giles for so long now it would be criminal to not order from him.  Anybody out there can't wait a few more days?

Just wondering, have you though about making the next production more room in the thigh area? Seems way too tight! Majority of people needing to size up 2 or so?

We wont change it.  It is our 2nd best selling jean and it will only serve to confuse if there are 2 different cuts of the same jean flying around.  We may at sometime release a different cut under a different lot number….
