      Yeah, I’d hate to see lower arm holes as well. Lower arm holes mean baggier upper arms, which IMHO is not a good look. If anything, I’d say higher arm holes, but I realize IH has to find the right middle ground.

      @manufc10:

      You have that issue even with the westerns?  I can agree that certain workshirts can be boxier but Westerns have always been a great cut for me.

      Same here. I’d like a little more taper myself, but then you start limiting who can wear the shirts. One thing I’ve noticed that might help is if there’s some way to lessen the bulkiness in the lower back a bit. I know less than nothing about clothing design, but if there was a way (other than darts) to adjust the pattern so there was a little less bulk in the lower back, that would give the westerns a cleaner look both tucked and untucked.

            Yes!  And work shirts!  I was pretty surprised to find my IH work shirt didn't have a little hanging loop.  It's kinda hassle having to balance the collar carefully on a peg.

                Haraki does not like hanging loops.  Especially on the heavier garments, undue strain is put across a small area.  Don't expect to see any soon.

                  This has always been my assumption. Next time I upgrade the closet in my hall it will have a rail and hangers for outerwear.

                      It's awkward hanging up my jacket because of the leather patch on the inside neck. But as @Giles mentioned, the strain from the weight of the jacket would probably cause the loop to break. That would be even more irritating imo. My ihm-20 is very heavy and it would make no sense to have a hanging loop on it.

                            Anyone can make a loop that won't break, but you cant make a loop that won't impart stress to 2 small areas.  The only way of not potentially distorting the fabric is to put it on a hanger (or put it on the back of a chair or chuck it on the floor if a chair can't be found - like me)

                                I’m a huge fan of the recent big brass buckle, but there’s one thing that bugs me:

                                I’m not sure if there’s a reason for the part where the belt attaches to be so huge, but I think it would look a lot better if it was a bit lower profile. I’m half tempted to find a machine shop to grind it down and re-weld the bar that the belt attaches, but if there were a re-run or a different buckle altogether with a less bulky profile, I’d probably just go ahead and buy that one too.

                                  @xtcclassic I hear you. I took a rubber spacer with a hole in it and stuck it on the hook. Works a treat.

                                    Good idea, Rueben. I’ll have to try that out on mine. Or find a belt strap that’s twice as thick. (pretty sure that doesn’t exist)

                                        Not wearing it today but I’ll get on to it when I can.

                                        The point is that if you slide a suitably dimensioned spacer over the hook of the prong and onto its shaft, when the belt is hooked on the prong, the spacer raises the buckle away from the belt so the buckle sits parallell to the waistband instead of the left hand side being raised and the right side angling inwards.

                                            I can see how that could be uncomfortable. The buckle on my mega double prong is about as thick of a buckle that I could manage.
