Yes Giles, definitely a shock after 2 weeks of 50-70F.  I missed my cozy flannels, but feet in the sand with a beer in hand was a nice break.

The clean air was the best part.  In the winter we get serious smog which settles into the valley between the mountains.  It's only blown out when there is a storm.  The shitty part is it keeps the cold air trapped.  25F and dreary in the valley and 45F with blue skies at the ski resorts.
