i think the design is absolutely stunning!
a lot of things from east germany had a crazy and very conceptual productdesign.

Reminds me of the little detail in "Raumschiff Orion" (a 1960 West German SciFi TV show with funky soundtrack) - it was so low budget that they put an household iron into the cockpit console of the starship to resemble a steering unit because of iron's futuristic design quality…

the text of the booklet says something like:

it was bought on christmas eve 43 years ago in ziesar,
50 minutes  from here. looks like it was never used.
