Intriguing, and beats me! At first I thought some kind of plough, a smoothing plane, but I don't think this can be right. Of old East German design and colour scheme for sure.

yes, its from the good old GDR made by :

i think the design is absolutely stunning!
a lot of things from east germany had a crazy and very conceptual productdesign.

so far so good. but, there is more:

Reminds me of the little detail in "Raumschiff Orion" (a 1960 West German SciFi TV show with funky soundtrack) - it was so low budget that they put an household iron into the cockpit console of the starship to resemble a steering unit because of iron's futuristic design quality…
