@northsouthdenimguy great looking Crissman. I’ve got some experience with the Crissman, and here’s what I notice. I’m a IH L/XL, and a Dehen M/L depending on the piece. The non waxed Crissmans, I’m typically good with medium - though sometimes the tiniest bit snug. But with the waxed versions I definitely need to go up to a Large - which usually fit great. Wool/Sashiko/Moleskin = M, waxed = L.

Dudes I’m super excited to have a Sashiko Crissman shirt on its way. I’m generally an XL/XXL in Iron Heart and grabbed an L in the Crissman - I hope it’s the right choice. I’ve lusted after a Crissman years now but never splurged until now. Will post fit pics when it arrives

I have had two wool Crissman's in the past and took an S in both but ended up selling them because the arm opening and sleeve is just really narrow. I typically wear an M in Iron Heart and an S in American sized garments like Filson or Indigofera. I have a waxed Crissman in an M now and it's amazing, it's a perfect overshirt for those moist days and the length of the body also provides some nice cover. I would say you should stick with you normal IH size in the Crissman and wear it as an overshirt for the best fit and bear in mind that the arms are quite slim.

@jerkules I think this one is going the be awesome, looking forward to seeing it's evo

@BalticBob thanks for the sizing advice, told me what I needed to know! Burnt Orange or Navy Moleskin look nice

@BalticBob very useful info thanks man. I found this one at a significant price markdown (£200). Only one shirt was available, which was this L, so it was a bit of an impulse to buy to grab a bargain. Worst case is if it doesn’t fit I’ll return/sell.

Looking round the web for sizing on this was tricky - some sites it looked like I’d need a small, others an XL.

My XL crissman is way bigger than XL IH CPO. I would swimm in XXL and I have couple of IH shirts in 3XL that fit nice

I took some photo‘s of the Crissman and a UHF. The ones I have are basically the same size.

Bonus! This waxed canvas I have is so thick, look how the sleeves hold their shape. If you tap on it, it sounds like it‘s solid 😄

@jerkules Certainly longer than average IH CPO, but everything else looks perfectly in proportion.

Think it looks great personally, and that the longer cut is an intentional design choice.

@jerkules The Crissman is long, that's why I mentioned it's great as an overshirt. I agree with @T4920 as this is a design choice from Dehen. I also agree that it looks great, this is the correct size for you for sure.

I don't think it would work as well with the hand warmer pockets if it was shorter.

@jerkules maybe throw it on over a non tee shirt, shirt. Will probably fill out the shoulder a bit (I think the shoulders look too wide as is) and def bring up the length a touch. Shacket style might be your best bet…but if you want it to wear over a tee sizing down isn’t the worst idea, I don’t think.

In the easy chair with my boots on, melted whiskey in my hand. Could'na been asleep for more than three hours...time to go to work again...

Thanks for the opinions @T4920 @BalticBob - I definitely agree it’s a design choice, but I’ve never had a “shacket” and especially not something this long - maybe it’ll grow on me.

@Mizmazzle - not a bad suggestion to layer it and see how I feel. I’m still on the fence. Not being able to return I either need to flip it or keep it.

The fit is growing on me - I think ideally it’d be 1.5 inches shorter so I may get it altered, but I like how it fits everywhere else.
