Our Cars (dream or actual)

Absolutely stunning how badly Ferrari fumbled their EV. Design by Logitech. I’m so confused they allowed that thing a Ferrari badge. For a marque with such discipline around distinction it is truly baffling that thing got out the door.
Having just listened to the Acquired podcast about Ferrari I am just agog over here.

@mclaincausey Saw pictures of it yesterday and completely agree. That abomination does not deserve that badge.
Edit: and the interior is just as bad as the exterior.
-
Maybe Ferrari want to scoop up some shares?
-
I don’t think so personally. Porsche is a comparatively high volume, accessible brand. Ferrari make most of their margins on unobtainable hypercars and rare objects of desire. This thing just looks like a Nissan. I don’t think their market will be interested in such a pedestrian looking vehicle.

As a kid, I dreamt about those cars, put them up on the walls as posters, read every magazine article about them, and watched a TV show that revolved around that car in an exotic location. As a young adult, always thought it would be possible to own but just slightly out of reach (more than slightly). Reality kicked in and how impractical they are, how expensive to operate and maintain, and how you will lose your license and not be insurable (unless you have the pockets for courts).
In all of that, my heart still races when I seen them, and all of the dreams and desires come back for one brief moment. That one car doesn’t ruin those dreams, but it wouldn’t be the dreams of most people or make the heart soar.
-
Yep. No kid is putting a poster of that thing on the wall. And Ferrari have never tried to be daily drivers for the most part. This thing looks like something to haul groceries and kids around in.
I do love the shade that GMA threw their way in promoting the T.50 on their socials. A bit gratuitous since they don’t need to promote it but funny nonetheless.

Picked up my dream car last night. And it’s glorious.

Beautiful @Lukenstein, great colour.
I wish I owned a rotary at some point.

Picked up my dream car a few months back, already hitting 6k miles...

Obviously, I'll never own one of these, and my opinions about them are admittedly irrelevant. But, my thoughts on the F80 are very conflicted. They're absurdly expensive, simultaneously very good looking/ugly (I honestly cant tell, but i agree with Chris's comparison to the Diablo), and I'm still not sure about their styling direction since parting ways with Pininfarina. I'm also not so sure about the powerplant. The V6, is cool, and techy, and seems very effective in its configuration with the turbos and electrics, but it's kinda like the 2026 F1 cars.....its just....not....right. I can't help but compare this to the Nissan "R35" GT-R when it came out, and Jeremy Clarkson compared it to a 'pocket calculator', saying it was just too easy, like playing a videogame and lacked the soul, drama, or emotion of a raw, mechanical performance experience. It is also however, a brilliant feat of engineering.
-
@JerkStore Congrats on scooping up that amazing machine!
I just a couple of months ago acquired your car's older (993) Carrera sibling.

-
@SonnyTheElder They're amazing cars. Never had anything that drives this well. Love your ride.
