@Luijim78 Thanks! I feel like there's a dull peachy hue sitting underneath the black when the sunlight shines on them. I'm hoping that they stay relatively black and that when they do start to give up some of the overdye the tea core effect will be a more subtle than it is on other overdyed boots that I have.

@SKT they really are just a workhorse of a boot. That Vibram 100 sole just gets it done! Makes me want to put the 100 on all my boots. Like when you see a Suzuki Samurai all lifted and 4 wheeled out!

I never considered a Moc Toe boot for myself, the white sole has always put me off. I guess the hipsters ruined that for me. But when I watch a youtube cobbler video doing a resole on them, the result usually looks pretty good!

Finally broke out my 2970 Red Wing engineers tonight. I bought these 9 years ago and they have been sitting in the box ever since. They’re so rare I never wanted to wear them (I know it’s dumb). But I asked myself why the hell do I own boots if I’m not gonna wear them?!
