        @Snowy:

        I'd be surprised if Haraki had even seen Super Dry. I expect/assume it's not even around it Japan. The Chav/Middle-class symbol wouldn't work for natives wearing Super Dry inside Japan. If anything they'd rebel knowing it's not authentic (you can't buy authenticity, which is one of the reasons Chav/Middle-class try to buy it 😃 ).

        @Giles:

        Actually you do see quite a lot of it in Japan, so there must be chavs there too.  But in all honesty, whilst it may not work for all of us, it's price point is attractive….

        One of my fave chefs in UK, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall ran a campaign to get British consumers to demand organic chicken.  A laudable mission, but when you see people in the supermarkets totting up on a calculator what they have spent, as they add things to their basket, you realise it is a mission destined to fail.

        @Snowy:

        That's surprising to hear. I was keeping an eye out for it last year when there it's a brand I love to hate, and didn't recall seeing it at all. Maybe the vending machines stole all my attention :).

        @Mild7:

        I own a few of their tees. They're cheap and fit me really well.

        @Seul:

        TRAITOR!..

        @Mild7:

        Sometimes I'm on a budget.  Jam it 😉

        @davito:

        Guys where I live we have a superdry store in our neighbourhood…aaaaaah hahahaha...thanx lord I have VMC and Big G. online store...thats some great TW tees coming along really nice (and I confess that I owned already some of the superdry tees and a hoodie years before LOL, nobody's perfect  :P...)

        @toddjcoley:

        It wouldn't be so bad if it didnt have japan on it or was made there. Why do brands do that. Like superdry and uggs, you are both made in china! Uggs sell for like £200 (buy emu they are made in aus and cheaper), there should be laws against this!

        I actually wear Uggs in winter at home hahaha, the OG's were made in NZ for the Australian/NZ surfers keeping their feet warm sadly all of the hype is now produced in China. so long I still wear em from time to time  😶 😃 😉

        Looking forward to all those new tees  🙂

        @tigerpac:

        I know nothing of Superdry, didn't even realize it was in the US, but now knowing they produce out of China, a quick look at the website pisses me off even without having to see the stuff all the time….

        "Superdry: British Design; Spirit of Japan, Our extensive range features Superdry jackets, hoodies, bags, accessories, gilets, jeans, knitwear and t-shirts...

              Nice Spinal Tapp reference there!

              It's worth bearing in mind that we need brands like Superdry, because they make the authentic stuff (e.g. IH) even more special.

              To paraphrase Beavis and Butthead (perhaps someone knows the actual quote?):
              "You've gotta have stuff that sucks, so that you can have stuff that's cool.".

              So maybe if we didn't have stuff that sucked, we wouldn't know what was cool? Some heavy philosophy to mull over…

                Agreed. There's really no reason to look down upon lesser brands or to regard people as provincial just because they either don't or can't share our values. That would be kind of a bitchy worldview to me. The one area where I do take exception to lesser brands is when unethical labor practices and exploitation are in play.
