I want to wait for samples before i put a price out there because:
1. There is a big price difference in hides. The more expensive are tanned in the UK and one is quite famous with belts.  Also would like the group to decided which one to go with.
2. I have no idea about cost of the hide getting to me

I don’t want to put a figure out there that will scare people away and I don’t want to put a low one out and have to change it later.

leather salesman a sooo slow at emailing!

I can see why peoples projects never get going. I emailed four supplier Saturday and have only heard back from 3 all saying they have what I want, haven't received  any samples or news they have been sent and have asked for info on the leather and costs two days ago and silence.. where is a cow I am sure I could do it quicker!
