Best Iron Heart Models for Western Wear?
-
I wear western wear pretty exclusively and while I think it depends on your style, I personally prefer the 555s but I slit the bottoms to fit over my boots and wear them stacked. Also have fun in Dallas I was born in Denton and grew up in the ft worth suburbs it’s a fun place

@roydub87 Thanks for the insight! Yeah the dressed up Cowboy Dallas-thing is a new thing for me and I'm trying to fit in within my Japanese denim dorkery. I do notice that basically people are wearing very slim looking Wranglers.

@shelbington this tool may help you: core cuts

…and forgot to add about our denims

@shelbington also, Self Edge (San Antonio) is only 4.5 hours away and might be worth the trip to try on different models to nail the fit and look you’re looking for.
-
@goosehd You mean drive 4.5 hours to go to a store that will have nothing in stock except size 29 and the odd 42?

Don't mean to be saucy, but as someone with a 34 inch waist, going into Self Edge LA wasn't very enlightening.
-
@shelbington calling ahead to see if they have your size in stock is always best

-
@shelbington I was attempting to be helpful…saucy was not needed.

I think 1955 is the most western friendly because of the high waist. I live in Austin, and I see a fair amount of dressy western wear. That high waist is important if you’re looking to tuck your shirt in without having to readjust it constantly.
-
@jat Thanks that's helpful. Yeah my 666s are a bit low for tucking in.
