The landscape of people there undoubtedly covers a diversity ranging from sanity to insanity — of a kind rarely found elsewhere.

The entire east coast is burdened with heat, humidity and rain, from Florida to Maine. The only variance is how long it lasts.

America, they are clearly our people. We are the same.

Not sure where you're from man, but that's an amazing attitude.
Just to be absolutely clear—all of America?

Thank you all for a vibrant discussion and sharing your personal experiences. As a mod, I need to remind everyone of the rules of the forum. Please no discussion regarding politics (so far, so good) and to be kind and respectful towards each other. With so much going on in the world, we all need a place where we can get away from the daily rigours of life.

This place is meant to be a place where we can relax and enjoy each other’s company. Please keep it that way.

            Thank you.

I will say this and I’ve said it before recently during the World Cup. It’s really nice to hear when people from abroad have unexpectedly positive experiences here. Spread the word, please. We’re happy to get the pr boost.

I have not been over to America in years since getting married and having kids but in my younger days I used to follow Bruce Springsteen round wherever he toured so been to quite a few different states.

I met awesome friendly people in each and wish I had stayed in contact with them all.

Which part of Florida were you in? I grew up in the Tampa Bay area and also lived in Tallahassee for a couple years while my wife went to FSU. I do enjoy going back to visit family occasionally, but also very happy to have actual seasons where we live now.

Probably the best America has to offer. Wildly different but South Dakota comes close if you ever get a chance to visit. New Hampshire is up there with them. I’m in Minnesota (great in the fall) and have visited almost every state but those 3 stand out. And if I could add a 4th it’d be Nevada. Never had a problem anywhere with people.
