@Mizmazzle fair enough. Do you worry about setting unwanted creases with new pairs you keep to wear later?

@jdwaid I remember I used to worry about that. But after just folding them and storing them over the years and not seeing any creases form, I realized nothing negative was going to happen.

In the easy chair with my boots on, melted whiskey in my hand. Could'na been asleep for more than three hours...time to go to work again...

@Mizmazzle that’s good to hear. I’m storing the XHS IB for at least 6 months. I don’t want to set creases at the fold points before ever wearing them. I do just fold well worn pairs and stack them in the closet. Pairs that are in rotation I hand from the belt loops with hooks.

I fold them how they naturally fold, chuck them in a cardboard carton, bung them in the attic and forget. Pulled a few out a couple of years ago, they had been stored for 30 years or more, and guess what? They came out, how they went in.......

I'm pretty neanderthal in my approach, but they are not the Bayeux Tapestry.....

@Giles that’s great to hear. Sounds like the simplest solutions are the best solutions when it comes to storing denim for the long term. An Occam’s razor approach to denim preservation 🤔

Had to Google Occam's razor. Thank you, love that.......

All decisions are easy. If the correct choice is obvious then the right decision is simple, if the choice is difficult, then does it matter which one you make......
