The white Wabash I bought here in the forum from @neph93 and my first IH jeans are my absolute favorites.
-
@markus_berlin_ that white wabash is so killer. I really hope they can somehow someway make this comeback.

I have really enjoyed today posts with all the stories that accompanied them. I don’t have a specific “grail” item so I decided to include some pieces made by Iron Heart that I think perfectly embody the brand and company…pieces that give me joy when I wear them and represent grail level design and execution.
A2 - Impeccably made, has a timeless, streamlined style and feels incredible when I wear it.
Fox Brothers Flannel - Beautiful fabric, cut perfectly for my body and a classic pattern
UHR - Fast faders, tough as nails, gorgeous shades of blue and quintessentially IH.
(Bonus) White’s Cruisers - No bells and whistles but made well enough to last a lifetime and then some…like most IH stuff.

My favorite leather jacket is from Double Helix, ahhhh I like it a lot. With the jeans I have some problems: I really like my 777 slubby but also my 21oz 555 Shinayaka. I could not decide which one is my favorite. And as you can see, I combined both. The 777 slubby jeans is on my left and the 555-Shinayaka on my right leg. I connected both pairs of pants together which worked very good but I had to fix the remaining „legs“ on my backside which was not so comfortable.

And the backside:

Not a grail - but my favorite thing I own at the moment. Found at a shop a couple doors down from Self Edge In SF. Nearly dropped my iced oat matcha when I saw it. If you know me - you know I like cloaks and quilts, and this is the best of both.
Shown with my favorite pair of Oni's and some rare Rapha/Palace/EF crocs from the Giro a couple of years ago.

I am grail hunter. I seek out and comb through the depths of the interwebs to find rare and odd Iron Heart pieces. For me, I fixate on one brand. I like what I like. All of my favorites are IH. Maybe it's my neurodivergent brain (ADHD), maybe I am just stuck in my ways. I don't care why, really. I just know I am Iron to the Bone.
I have grails of all fabrics that interest me. But it all comes down to the denim and duck. This is what drew me to IH in the first place. These two textiles will always be favored by me.
My Top Grails:
21oz Indigo Selvedge Denim Cap
21oz Indigo Selvedge Denim Shooting Jacket
21oz Indigo Selvedge Untucked CPO Sample
16.5oz/17.5oz Double Indigo Selvedge Duck Loom Breaker
17oz Brown Duck Sneakers -
The Shop hand dyed chore jacket. My grail piece. Really stretched my budget to get one of these things when I did, but man do I love it. The first time I met TJ was in 2004 when I bought a white sessions snowboard jacket from him. Cut to 20+ years later, and I am still buying jackets from the homie.

-
My grail piece was also the piece that introduced me to the brand. The Pale Rider
Honorable mention to my new Fat Fot 22.5oz Foxfiber ducks from N&F.

@derek111 killer jacket!

I’ve been thinking about what to put up here all day. I’m conflicted. Main problem is almost everything from IH + other brands that I recently bought are grail pieces. I wanted the untucked for a long time and eventually bought & eff’n love it. I coveted the 21oz modified type 3 when I first found out about IH in 2024. I bought the 14oz ib and waited for the 21 to become available. I love both those jackets. Drooled over the green M65 and found one on eBay. Love that too. Not to mention the N1.. The list has grown considerably. If I had to pick my absolute favourite piece right now though, gun to my head: It’s got to be the modified 16oz OD slub. This one is crazy because I never wanted it. Just happened by a shop on Queen street, tried it on and well? Shit.. I’m sure there’s a metaphor for life in there somewhere.

I actually wore it today because it was +4°C and I missed it during this brutal winter we’re almost done with. Thankfully.

Yep IH-526J-SLBod. That’s my final answer and I’m good with that!

@Chibs I find you can't go wrong with any items from IH, they're all grail quality and I'm happy to own all my gear

adopt a hybrid approach
Oh my, @ARNC! I hope your neighbours didn't see this.
I wouldn't want to be explaining to a MET Constable that I was adopting a hybrid approach in the garden.
Surely some things can happen behind closed doors, I hear them say.

Mind, it could be interpreted as a tribute to the latest IH lookbook.

Nice one @ARNC
Frankly, unlikely the MET would respond anyway
