@Denman-John Do not apologise. This sounds and looks absolutely stunning. I have a deep love and appreciation for Thai and SE Asian culture, food and people in general. If you have any other recommendations for me to pass on to her, I would be very appreciative. I have given her lots but my trip ~15 years ago was a little too much focussed on having a good time as opposed to soaking up as many experiences. Dont get me wrong, we did some brilliant stuff but should have done so much more considering I was there for 4 months.

Quick work trip to San Francisco. Realized just in time that there is a Self Edge close by and brought 2 pairs of 25oz to drop off and get hemmed. And of course had to get a selfie with the crew.

Brezeln are universal, and you can‘t tell which beer it is. And I don’t remember.
Brezeln / Pretzel looks great. Have a great time.

Bangkok, Oriental setting
And the city don't know that the city is getting …It has been 28 years since I was last here.

Today, you can quickly reach the city from one of its airports using the air-conditioned elevated and underground railways. And the population has more than doubled.

Our hotel is a traditionally built and decorated wooden house on the Khlong Bangkok Noi canal.
One of the few truly good places I have ever stayed in and only accessible through a narrow alley.

The 2 ½ days we‘ve spent here were packed and awesome. Spent hours on Chatuchak Market, returned to the delights of street food and were shocked by a 5 min visit of Khaosan Rd, which was our haven in the 90s.

But a good friend of ours lives here and we went out with him.

Best bar only 2 minutes off Khaosan Road.

Karaoke in an unofficial bar, 3 very small and dark staircases above a 'Golden Duck' fast food restaurant.
So the next day, a little hungover, we took the ferry to Bang Kachao, and within minutes you exchange skyscrapers for village life that you can explore by bicycle.

Today we're continuing south. I'll keep you posted.
