Vintage Negroni for my birthday at Frasca the other night… exceeded expectations!
-
Was at the farm last weekend for an annual get together with some college friends and thought it would be a good time to dip my toe into some fine Irish Whiskey inspired by @Mizmazzle and his trip overseas. My first experience outside of Jameson and man was this stuff tasty. Thanks for the recommendation Mark! I’ve also conferred with @Jett129 about a bottle of Green Spot I might try next time
-
@Mizmazzle The PX is next on my list as well.
-
@SourPower Currently in Venice,Italy, where last night,I had my first ever Negroni. I quite liked it. Definitely inspired by so many,on this thread, enjoying them.

@Jett129 …they forced me to succumb as well. Quite enjoyable and have had a few now.
Who would have thought that this place would be filled with a bunch of influencers…
First trip across the Atlantic.
First trip tuna fishing.
Countless laughs shared with friends from multiple countries. -
@Jett129 the perfect balance of bittersweet, you should try a boulevardier some time which is quite similar but uses bourbon rather than gin as the base spirit- more Manhattan esque.
-
@SourPower @Jett129 or use mezcal instead of gin. I may have mentioned this at some point already
-
@Tago-Mago love a Negroni Bianco. Had a bartender in Osaka make me a fantastic Paloma/Negroni riff with grapefruit, Lillet, Suze, pechuga, and mezcal!
-
@Jett129 I’m fairly new to Negronis too and I love em, but after trying many variations I definitely prefer the OG with gin. I’ll stick to varying the vermouth and gin. I love mezcal but my tastebuds don’t like that combo.
