IHV-03-BRN - 17oz Cotton Duck Work Vest - Brown

Any idea if this is being restocked this year?
-
Just grabbed the last XL from ISP. Stoked for my first IH vest.
-
@worn2fade awesome choice man
-
@Oaktavia Thanks dude. It was difficult grabbing something that wasn’t indigo or black since it’s what I’m so accustomed to wearing but I convinced myself this vest would look dope with the contrast stitching on the 33 I’m currently rocking. I sold my CPO and miss having extra pockets so this seemed like a solid buy. Awesome intro to duck as well.
-
@worn2fade the brown duck pairs marvelously with indigo and the pockets make everything more convenient.
-
Alright folks, just got the vest in but I honestly have no idea how I feel about it. The plan was to wear it on top of the western full time but I feel like I look kind of crazy since the western is much longer than the vest in the back.
I love how it looks with a T but realistically, I’d never wear it this way because I always have my western on and I carry things on my hip that I don’t want anyone to see.
Do you guys think It looks weird on top of the untucked western?
I added the pics of it with the T-shirt & the western tucked in for fun, but I truly need some insight if I look off with the western untucked and the vest on top.

-
@worn2fade honestly not a fan of it over the western unless tucked in. Looks fantastic over the t-shirt and you could try wearing the western over the vest as a overshirt/CPO…

Yes, definitely give this a shot. It's how I usually wear my vests of the same cut. Over a tucked in tshirt under a western or CPO unbuttoned or snapped.
I also quite love the way the vest is styled over an untucked shirt in the image below. Buttoned up top and loosely goosey below. It just looks casual as can be and completely comfortable with one's self. I don't have a pic of me wearing my setup but I have a IHSH-136 I style this way with my IHV-02-DD.

@worn2fade Since I got my first one, a few years ago now, I don't think I've gone more than a day without wearing one. First of all, it helps me cope with my extreme thinness, and secondly, the convenience of having four extra pockets has become indispensable. I have the two Wabys, the Sashiko, the Hickory, and the Duck, and honestly, I love them all. In terms of texture and color, the Duck, along with the Sashiko, is my favorite. I usually wear them under my CPO or Western pants, and I really like wearing them under a Hanley or a T-shirt.
-
@worn2fade I think it looks great on you dude. You may have "color shock". You don't have to wear it every day either.
-
@worn2fade i agree with what the others have said. looks absolutely cool over a tee or the tucked western. otherwise - not so much. in the picture of the backside over the tee - is the vest buttoned up? looks a bit large in the back.
-
@tody yeah man, I think I’m going to return this one. I really wanted it to work out on top of an untucked western but it just looks a bit too off for me in the back.
& no sir, the vest was unbuttoned in that picture. When the vest is buttoned up it fits amazing front & back. I’m assuming with time the fabric will ease up and it looks big cause it’s a bit boxy currently. But like I said, I’ll probably return this one. Still pondering it.
-
@worn2fade take this advice for what you want, but anything I’ve ever forced to make happen over the years, ends up not being used.
-
@goosehd basically my wife’s point as well.
And I quote..
“Babe, are you actually going to wear this? You don’t wear light colors, especially not brown.”
I guess I just got too excited to try out duck for the first time, but the truth is.. I’m just a denim man.
