If that's the case, I'd argue that houndstooth is no more Flat Head than buffalo check or any other classic weave.

there was this picture of the 2015 fall IH flannels in H blog several weeks back. whether or not H decides to make it or if UHF material not sure. but this is herringbone flannel, and the talk was of heavies in his post

How about an over-dyed type III-style jacket with cord trim and flannel lining (like the red, but not the red, perhaps black), with sizing similar to the recent release, up to XXXL.

I don't know why that one never made it into production. I think it would sell quickly. Very quickly.

Overdying happens post production, so everything would get dyed with unpredictable results when using 3 different fabrics. I'm not sure the demand would justify the risk especially as it would be off the scale expensive…...Sorry....
