On the buffalo check experimentation front, please consider burgundy and cream/light beige/ecru/natural/dark off-white (whatever you want to call it). This was originally suggested by @pillowpants, and mentioned again twice by me. On all three occasions, several forum members showed great interest, including G himself once. These colors go very well together, not to mention going very well with denim and duck.

I'd call such a garment my Anarchy Shirt.
That'd make a cool patch or sticker theme too…

If that's the case, I'd argue that houndstooth is no more Flat Head than buffalo check or any other classic weave.

there was this picture of the 2015 fall IH flannels in H blog several weeks back. whether or not H decides to make it or if UHF material not sure. but this is herringbone flannel, and the talk was of heavies in his post

How about an over-dyed type III-style jacket with cord trim and flannel lining (like the red, but not the red, perhaps black), with sizing similar to the recent release, up to XXXL.
