@bryaneidins70 I have merged your topic here as there was a very good Vietnam thread created previously but located in the general discussion (which has now been moved to the guide area). It might act as inspiration for your trip and allow others who have travelled here previously to add their own insights.
@Fadez moved your topic to rest of Asia.

@T4920 @Mizmazzle @Denman-John @endo Have any suggestions to add to @bryaneidins70 upcoming trip?

@bryaneidins70 if time is on your side, Sapa north of Hanoi is an absolute amazing place to spend a few days. The hospitality of the Hmong people that host guests in their own hand built homes is one of my favourite experiences every whilst travelling!
Also, Phong Nha is a great stop on the way down south from Hanoi for its caves and natural water parks. It was also my favourite spot for riding as the roads are so wide and empty with the most beautiful rolling green scenery.

We found Phong Nha to be a really lovely place. Lazy river, lots of trees, and visiting the caves with a guide was one of the coolest experiences of our lives.
I generally stay out of the big cities when traveling, but I really enjoyed Hanoi. So much to wander around and check out.
I don't think you can go wrong in the whole country. Its a fantastic place to travel and the people, food, and bus systems are just amazing. -
@bryaneidins70 You’re going to have a great time wherever you go! I was there in January ‘24 with my youngest son and the highlight for us was riding the Ha Giang loop. Incredible experience! Ninh Binh Is a couple of hours south of Hanoi and feels like you’re in a zen painting. Hoi An is another place I would recommend and is only about 45 mins south of Denang. Kind of the opposite of Denang and much preferred it. Phu Quoc is a chill island with beautiful weather at that time of year. You can rent a scooter and explore the island as it’s fairly big. Enjoy the anticipation and keep us in the loop.
