@volcano:
sometimes it´s easier if you don´t care too much about different things and just wear the shit out of everything you own…i don´t think that they´ve oiled their leather patches back then in the wild wild west
I'm just worried the leather might dry up and crack.
that is why you should oil when needed…don´t make it a big deal though! it´s simple as feck!…
chill man. just asking and all. thanks a lot for answering all my questions. and sorry to get on your nerves if I did.

i think it's almost the same thing as it is with soaking/washing a pair of jeans! so whenever you feel the urge to oil your patch…go ahead

Wait, when?

Heh heh, you want to "oil" your "patch"…
-
mega, remember when oiling that "patch" fistful of babyoil isn't right solution…. ???
Thats what the nurse at the hospital told me too :-\

Nice Doug, where is that from exactly?

woolite will work. you could also use unscented detergent and put a few drops of some pleasant smelling essential oils into the water. I use peppermint oil. But dr. bronners is not restricted to handwashing.
Or just throw a dryer sheet, a slightly damp cloth, and your flannel into the dryer and tumble low heat for a few minutes.

Cheers, Adam. Just the answer I was looking for. I was thinking of dropping some oils but I didn't know if it'll do harm to the fabric. Cool cool, thanks again!
