Anybody recommend a something to get my flannels smelling fresh again aside from Dr.Bonners soap? Nothing against them, it's just I don't believe I have time to handwash my flannels right now. Would Woolite work? Total noob when it comes to this.

woolite will work.  you could also use unscented detergent and put a few drops of some pleasant smelling essential oils into the water.  I use peppermint oil.  But dr. bronners is not restricted to handwashing.

Or just throw a dryer sheet, a slightly damp cloth, and your flannel into the dryer and tumble low heat for a few minutes.

Cheers, Adam. Just the answer I was looking for. I was thinking of dropping some oils but I didn't know if it'll do harm to the fabric. Cool cool, thanks again!

Sorry, I meant to say add a few drops to the detergent, swirl around, then put into the water. Once the detergent is diluted, add your clothes.  And be careful which one you use, some oils are colored and might stain.  I have lemon, peppermint, and tea tree.

Good advice from Lando above. I soaked my Flat Heads in warm water with a touch of Dr Bronner's every two months before finally washing them in the machine at six months. Kept the stink away and I'm sure contributed to the longevity of the fabric in high-friction areas. The creases stayed put too.

Don't fear water. Your denim needs it from time to time and if you're wearing them a lot more than washing them, you're on the right track.

(*might be appropriate to move this to the washing/care thread…)

Too add to Sugar Mountain's post, throwing in a bit of baking soda with the Dr.  Bronners can help reduce smell too, if that becomes an issue.

QUick one here..I am searching on Ebay for some detergents for my denim.  I obviously found Woolite dark but also Dr Bronners.  The Dr Bronners has a whole bunch of soaps.  Which one is best or does it not matter?

In my experience, all DB products are good, just depends how you plan on washing your stuffs and how you want it to smell post wash. All about your preference but can't go wrong with DB products.

The smells that permeate from unwashed denim can often be a contentious issue for those who surround the life of an avid denim wearer. In their quest for high contrast, naturally worn denim, the odors come with the territory and are times an accepted by-product of the process for the wearer. retaW hope to keep your denim as inoffensive as possible especially given the impending heat and sweat of summer as they launch their MOOD* Denim Fragrance Liquid with hints of mint. Ensuring there’s no unnecessary indigo loss, the spray should provide what you’re looking for rather then throwing your jawnz in the freezer. Some aptly designed packaging includes an indigo colored cap and body.
