Part of me is and part of me isn’t surprised there’s no Crocs thread
I was looking at the Salahe Bembury Pollox clogs collab but noticed these while browsing at a shoe store the other day. They’re the Mellow Recovery clog in Dusty Olive. I tried them on and was really surprised at how comfortable the footbed is. My slides and my cold weather slippers are both nearing their respective ends so the fit both needs very nicely. Highly recommend.

Side note: I’ve never owned a pair, but have slipped a pair on and they are amazingly comfortable.

I’ve often thought about having a pair around the house for running outside to grab firewood, gardening, etc. In theory they would be great for around the house chores, easy to clean, and cheap enough that if you trash them you can just throw them out.
But they are hella ugly…

Bruh if you like Crocs, you should try HeyDudes. I think Crocs bought them out recently.....

In fairness, I got a pair of the terrible og Crocs in semi-desperation. Come winter, my feet get super cold yet still sweat a lot (tmi?). I've tried fuzzy slippers, different socks, multiple socks, down boots, and combinations. Sometimes I could get warm, but then they'd get clammy and start to get even colder.
Figured the Crocs with the thick sole would help insulate, the holes would help ventilate while still keeping a warm pocket of air when sitting at home, and to my surprise, they worked for me. Mine don't leave the roof of my home since that way they stay clean for indoors. Ymmv

I can't believe how popular they are for school age kids now (they make all the little decals you can snap into the holes). It also seems like hunters, farmers, outdoorsy people love them too (see Camo edition).
I own one pair. The Mario Batali version (bistro) designed for kitchen work are incredible for back of the house. They don't have the holes to avoid hot liquid splashing (easy @Matt ), The have slip resistant soles and when they get dirty, you can throw them into the commercial dishwasher and they come out looking brand new.

I keep a pair around. They make perfect backcountry slippers and are super light weight. After a long hike into the wilderness, off with the boots and on with crocs. Also, when wet wading during fishing, they are perfect water shoes.
I also once wore them through the airport. I felt like part of the downfall of humanity…so since they have been kept in their place in my fishing gear backpack.
In the easy chair with my boots on, melted whiskey in my hand. Could'na been asleep for more than three hours...time to go to work again...

Ha! I was just typing everything @Mizmazzle said. I keep a pair for backyard/garden shoes and take a pair as camp shoes on any camping or backpacking trip. They’re kind of indestructible. And get as loud as I can find…cause why not?
