IHSB-BIGBUCK-NAT - Deerskin Western Shirt 'The Big Buck' - Natural

Can't wait for this one! I was torn between the XL and L and Freeman hooked me up with some measurements. I love that option of dialing in an exact fit!
-
The natural cw looks yellow
-
@J5nerd
Exactly. This is the result of the tannery process without any synthetic chemicals. They are using cod liver oil. The result is the toughest leather which is softer than baby powder. And it appears yellow for sure. -
It is the kind of leather that you can wear direcly on your skin without having to fear poisoning ones skin!
-
@Eisenherz and to add on to this...it will age and reduce the yellow vibrancy...as natural colored leather do.
-
@Eisenherz I like the black, but I am unsure of how it would look, and if it would fade overtime

Like this.....

Got mine ordered! Been waiting on this one for a while
Welp...my heretofore flawless experience with Iron Heart has finally come to an abrubt end. I discovered the brand in November 2025, and have since purchased 26 pieces totaling $8,780 over these past 7 months and had nothing but a perfect experience every time (from the quality of the product to the level of service from each of the stockists).
However, all good things must come to an end I suppose, and the BIGBUCK is the one that ended my streak of luck with the brand. I placed my order for this at 11:01am ET the day of the drop (yes, less than 60 seconds after they went live), but was notified today that the only shirt available to fulfill my order was the one pictured, where the pocket on one side of the shirt was sewn on crooked and twice as far away from the placket as the pocket on the other side.
I thought about it and knew that I would never be able to get past having paid full fare for the one shirt in the batch that was defective so if ANYONE else purchased this shirt in Large and decide you don't want it, or it doesn't fit, please message me before you return your shirt to IH. I may be interested in buying it from you.
100% bummed about this, as I had been waiting for this shirt literally since i discovered this brand. I guess I can take the wife to a very nice dinner with the $1500 coming back into my account. For anyone else who isn't particular about your clothing, there will be one more Large coming up for sale on the site shortly!

@blue2gnt Yeah - that's too much.
-
@blue2gnt That's the difference between Made In Japan and Made In Scotland. But honestly, if you look closely and measure from the center of the button to the pocket it's not that far off. Maybe half an inch? The gap on one side is going to seem larger due to the snaps. What does it look like when you close it up?
-
@nixage arguably worse / more noticeable

-
@blue2gnt while I see why you don't want to keep a shirt that maybe should not even have passed qc, I don't get how this "ends" your experience with IH? Maybe I am reading it wrong but IMO that's just the gamble with hand made products. Is it cool that this happens? No! But it's sure not a dealbreaker that speaks for the whole IH brand.
-
@FlavourFade It doesn't end my experience with IH, not at all. Just ended the honeymoon.

Life happens... and they'll make you whole for it. That's what matters.

So I decided to check how obsessive I was being on this and took the photos to my wife - ostensibly a neutral party (largely because she has no concept whatsoever of how expensive it is) and said "hey do you notice anything weird about this shirt?"
She said no. I said look again. She spent another 30 seconds looking at it. Other than a few "Do you really need more Iron Heart shirts" she didn't find anything unusual about it.
I then said 'look at where the pockets are lined up', and she immediately said "oh yeah, now I see"
To me, this means it passes the "does this look fucked up" at first glance test, which is enough to convince me not to cancel my order after all. I know this is always going to bother me, and this particular piece probably should have been sold as an irregular with some sort of a discount, but what would bother me more is never getting one of these shirts at all, given how limited they are.
These deer did not die in vain.
