@SKT I take an XL in an IH shirt (UHFs, westerns, etc) and denim vest. I'd also be an XL in the type 3 jackets (having tried one on in store but not purchased). NB that I only need to go to XL because I have a somewhat 'athletic' build with a broad chest, back and shoulders. XL in the less-stretchy tops does leave me with extra room around the waist, but as the shirts, etc, are so flattering it's not a real problem.

I have an L and a M in the waffle henleys. The L gets a bit baggy around the stretch points (elbows, etc) after a bit of wear and between washes. The M maintains a more fitted look, particularly around my waist. I prefer the L for layering under things, and the M for wearing on its own.

I also sized right down to a M in my IH zip-up hoodie, if you want another point of comparison on a stretchy top.

TL;DR - as the henleys are quite stretchy, I think you can size down 1x or 2x depending on if you want a looser or a more fitted look.

              Take the dive...

Thanks @EdH thats very helpful. I’m usually a large in IH shirts but have sized down to a medium in a few as well. Thinking I will wear this on its own with a mid weight T underneath so I think a medium would work and stay trim fitting. Thanks!
