Leather Patches…faves, care or lack there of.

Good day, all! This is my annual conditioning of the Hides of the Beast. I used Skidmore's Leather Cream which uses natural oils and beeswax.

Anyone else conditions their leather patches, and, if so, what do you use?

@goosehd, it was made by Tom Sanderson of Hawkmoth Leather. https://www.hawkmothleather.co.uk

His works are incredible! Really love this Memento Mori belt he made. It has aged incredibly well and has developed a great patina thus far.

This is my first pair of Iron Hearts…I think I treated the patch once after the first wash with Bicks 4…haven’t treated it since.

Edit: Now fully dry post wash…think I’ll give it another treatment.

The “Flower of Carnage” Japanese sheepskin leather patch on the N&F MIJ6 Type III has got to be one of my all time favorites.
