@Jett129 I have to admit I’m not the biggest selective color fan, but this one I actually really like!!

@weftyarn Thanks,I’m not shooting these days,and I’ve just been cleaning up old files,and occasionally editing something. Before there was color film,artists would occasionally color in or colorize select parts of the image. Trying to emulate that.

I grew up with a color photography capable cellphone in my pocket and thinking about what efforts people had to take back in the days is absolutely mind boggling. My father learned the craft of manually retouching film and whenever he tells stories about that I’m just fascinated.

I like your idea of emulating that process

When first dating my wife, we used to spend time together in the dark room developing film. At the time she was studying plant biology and used to use the electron microscope quite a bit to take some super cool pictures of insects feeding on plant cells. It is so fun and rewarding to take physical film and turn them into prints.

Kind of miss those days!

Been wanting to try out the Fuji system for awhile--finally picked one up at B&H in Manhattan.
Went with the xs20 with a 35 F2 WR lens.
pretty small set up that is really easy to carry around with no problem.
Digging it a lot so far

@weftyarn Was pretty busy between coming back and Christmas so didn't have the chance. Handed them into the lab just after Christmas and been impatiently waiting ever since - really was like have late Christmas presents watching them come through!

Went out for dinner with @tody in Cologne and took some snapshots before and after.

@weftyarn They’re all really great. Just love your sense of composition and lighting. The lone guy walking down the street in the red hoodie is my favorite.
