I was in a hurry this morning.
Had to snap a picture of something else on the jeans.
I took one macro picture by hand as well. Got shaky hands so they often come up a bit blurry.
The picture is not super sharp.
I really need to get myself a tripod. My hands shake to much for macro photography.

MIJ is always better (nearly always ;)). What was the post-production on the shot? something, feels the smallest bit off. Focus and aperture are great. Was it sharpened at all? The other thing I'd probably do is a minor tweak on either tone-curve or contrast, think there's are bit more good-ness left in that shot. I almost never shoot/post B&W as it's extremely difficult to nail. This is so close to nailing it, it's not even funny. Hell, it does nail it, quite clearly :).

Haven't come across anything MIJ that I haven't liked, yet.

I must confess, post-production was done by my brother so I can't fill you in on the details.

Photo editing, like photography is still new to me, but I am learning.

                      Thanks for the feedback @Snowy.

Hi, might someone provide me with some basic starter info on taking extreme macro pictures?

                        TIA

Use a remote shutter release or timer….

                          Basic enough?
