MIJ is always better (nearly always ;)). What was the post-production on the shot? something, feels the smallest bit off. Focus and aperture are great. Was it sharpened at all? The other thing I'd probably do is a minor tweak on either tone-curve or contrast, think there's are bit more good-ness left in that shot. I almost never shoot/post B&W as it's extremely difficult to nail. This is so close to nailing it, it's not even funny. Hell, it does nail it, quite clearly :).

Haven't come across anything MIJ that I haven't liked, yet.
I must confess, post-production was done by my brother so I can't fill you in on the details.
Photo editing, like photography is still new to me, but I am learning.
