@Goz Actually, going back to the beginning of the thread, a few people have seen .3 and .4 inch shrinkage which would have been my assumption. However as each run of denim may slightly be different in how it behaves, that would be for that run and this one could be slightly different.

My gut says up to .5 inches…

@goosehd Thank you, I appreciate it, With that type of shrinkage I'll have to pass on the uhr. The back rise will be too low. I have a pair of 777's I bought a few year ago with a back rise that measures 15 inches and they are too low for me now.

Not just soak them twice. Or cold water
Then again you brought them, you do whatever you like.

@Goz Although there is no exact science with how this denim will react I would tend to agree with @goosehd here. We can't guarantee the degree of shrinkage but as long as the recommended washing instructions are followed, you should not expect more than 0.5" in the rear rise.

We can also always find you the pair with the largest rear rise from our remaining stock if that helps.

Im just happy to be here ^_^

I’m looking at going from the 777S to this cut, so I did some work with AI and created this handy UHR shrink to fit calculator, which has turned out pretty good. The values of the reference garment are fully editable if needed.

Followed the instructions. Hot soak for about an hour. Drip dry and then machine wash no spin. Then drip dry again. Shrunk up nicely. Will probably do one more machine wash for more agitation in case there is more shrinkage since I have room to spare. Will also throw in my pair of 666 xhs ib since I only hot soaked those and they would probably benefit from some agitation to remove any remaining shrinkage.

@Goz The back rise shrinkage was .35". So in line with what others have reported and not more than .5". My front rise shrank about .3". So the rise doesn't shrink all that much.
