Chino cloth is a cotton twill originally developed for the military. This version of what is now a classic casual pant is made from a heavyweight 12oz Japanese chino cloth, in a relaxed fit silhouette. A great option for either casual or workwear.

@Alex - how "relaxed" are these? similar to a dickies 874 fit, or perhaps closer to the RATS work pants?

@Appfaff these are a 'new' relaxed cut, similar in the top block to a 634 but more relaxed throughout the leg.

@Graham has a pair of 874 Dickies and said they're bang on the same as the IH-816s he's got too.

:o damn, consider me suddenly interested now that the measurements are up… the measurements for the 35-tag are almost exactly where my tag 34, 21oz 888s have settled...

For the tag sizes I'd be interested in, the measurements for these look pretty close to those for IH-727-KHA - rise on these is slightly higher... a little wider in the knee, but then a bit more tapered at the hem...

Wasn't planning on new chinos this month...

Tag 36 and 38 are more or less identical being the only noticeable difference the waist measurements?? I want to order one but I’m afraid of the waist height… It’s a 634, 666 or 555, 777…?

Was thinking the same thing. They look like a straight fit with the taper below the knee. Almost like a 633 with a higher rise?

Top block looks like an 888 to me, with a smidge more thigh room.

The mid/high rise on these made me pause. Here’s a vote for a low/mid rise IH chino in the future, rise similar to the 633 or 777 cuts.

I’d like to see an 816 chino with a bit more taper. These do look really promising in terms of thigh room, though!
