Heading to NY on 30th Oct for five days of fun!

I have a list of food/stores/coffee shops/bars that I've been building up since moving here, let me know if anyone would like it.

I know it's a bit of a dredge, but any suggestions for places to eat and visit?

Trying to decide  between Keen's and Peter Luger for steak, etc etc

Visit Self Edge NY on Orchard Street, and while you're on Orchard get a pizza from Scarrs Pizza. Ridiculously good. You can grab a slice, or ask for a personal pan pizza (takes like 30-45 mins to make when it's busy, but they have a bar)

Lugers 100 percent. Keens is great but Lugers is a MUST. But bring cash because they only take cash or their own Peter Lugers Credit card.

Good luck getting into Peter Lugers without a reservation,and they usually need to be made a month in advance. Keens has a crazy/amazing selection of bourbons and scotches.

Did I understand right, if I visit NYC and visit for example Self edge, it is prices+sales tax (8.something%), but I if I order online to my hotel in NYC they still add tax?

You need to ask them.  Legally they should charge tax on any purchase or shipment in/to a state they have a business presence in.

Thanks for the answers. I will be visiting from Finland (my residency). I like to bring my money to brick&mortar, but hate to pay too much taxes
