We had a beautiful weekend! And we’re now boat owners. Not nearly as big as Gs and muscle powered. But we love it. And it packs down to two small bags. My grand parents drove this exact boat down the Donau from Passau to Vienna after their wedding 65 years ago. Took them 4 weeks.

We took it to Kochelsee yesterday evening for a first little tour. Wedding cake on a boat is priceless.

Starting to build a new steel and timber front entrance gate.

Basic frame fabricated and first stage welded out.
The rain is coming so away it goes for now.
Next up, rough sawn timber to be ran through my thickneser and table saw.
Hinges are good for 600kg each and it will weigh every bit of 600kgs when I’m done.

I’m at Reisensburg Castle in southern Germany for a training course. It’s incredibly hot (35°C), but it’s actually quite nice here.

The place belongs to the University of Ulm and is used for conferences etc. We are holding a course here on neuroscientific assessment.

We’ll be checking out all the tall ships that are in town along with the air show tomorrow. More practice runs from both the Blue Angels and whatever the UK version is today. I should be hearing them soon. It’s all for the 250 US bday.
