It's funny, I was watching my favorite musician of all time, and was assembling a montage of videos to display his skills, when I happened upon this new thread.

I first heard of Steve Vai, after taking over for Yngwie, upon his departure from Alcatrazz…..

Prior to this, he had played with Zappa, and in the years following, he played with Diamond Dave and Whitesnake, all while pursuing his solo career.....

In recent times, he had shoulder surgery, and upped his game by making one handed music.....

Crazy thing, though... He recently had to have another surgery, on his fretting hand, to correct an issue created by holding an extremely difficult chord too long...

“It’s Alive” album by the Ramones recorded in London on NYE 1977. I was able to see them 8 times I think over the years but this show would have been amazing.

@neph93 Electric Wizard played at Maryland Deathfest back in 2012 I think it was. It had been their first appearance here in some time. It was in a bad part of Baltimore, outside in a parking lot under a highway. I kid you not, as soon as they started playing, it started thunderstorming and lightning. The played much of Funeralopolis. One of the most fun live shows I've been to.

This thread has been busy and I love it. Once it is later in the day and I can crank some of these tunes, I'm sure I'll be enjoying my Saturday. Thanks folks, let's keep these coming.

Not strictly punk, but heavily influenced by it. They are also my favourite band of the last 20 years so there’s that [emoji1]
