Sorry to hear all that. I know it’s tough. I know this is all cliché, but take some time for yourself. Do things you enjoy doing and don’t get wrapped up in drowning your sorrows in alcohol or other things. Obviously, I don’t know your whole situation or what you’re able to do, but one regret I had after getting divorced was how complacent I became. I got stuck doing the same things over and over, not really getting out and experiencing life until I met my current wife. Looking back, there were a lot of lost days and weekends that I’ll never get back.
Also, don’t rush into anything. Really think about what you want out of life and what you want in another person. Nobody’s perfect, but I think you should have some definite deal breakers when it comes to certain things. Or maybe that’s just me. Anyway, that’s about all I’ve got. Life is tough, and relationships can be even tougher sometimes.

@iammortalcombat that sounds really rough. It will take some adjustment but this might be the time to pick up old interests or try something new that you’ve always fancied trying. I get the thing about friends with families but it’s not a crime to fly solo. Invite friends to join you but go ahead even if they can’t. They’ll all be secretly jealous of your freedom!

@ARNC
Yea I guess I gotta do all new things. Funny part was I was not in one of those relationships where I just sit around doing her things or nothing. Still do all my hobbies and all that. Been reconnecting with some friends who lost touch due to having kids and their own lives.Got a bunch of comedy shows lined up to attend may go hit a warhammer con or something just for grins

@northsouthdenimguy How could I forget?

@iammortalcombat Get out there and enjoy life, you have freedom now. Sounds like you've got some things lined up but try not sit around feeling sorry for yourself, I know a lot of guys that have had similar things happen and they let it defeat them...
The world is yours!

@Jord heh. Got divorced by 31. Was not expecting essentially repeating it 10 years later. Just a bummer. I sat around the first few weeks and then the boys started pulling out of the house.
Funny part is - most of the things I actually need to do require me to be in and working on the house -
i blew all my money on hookers, drugs, booze and squandered the rest

@Giles I'm guessing you mean the crown?

That sucks though... Got any bags of rice you can put it in?
