Just wondering on the sizing. Is the large a size 40?
        Thanks!

Thinking of trading up from a medium to a large after realizing my original "spring/fall over a t-shirt" wear plan would have me suffering heatstroke and layering under it for colder weather would make it a bit too tight. This is definitely a winter jacket for me, but I tend to run on the hot side.

However, I'm curious if the measurements have changed at all with the latest restock. Is today's large the same as the large from 3-4 years ago?

@wordfool It looks like the sizing chart has been updated fairly recently (July 2026). You will need to measure your jacket and compare them to the size chart found on the first page to know for sure.

Use this guide to measure your jacket to compare to the current measurements chart: https://ironheart.co.uk/pages/how-we-measure-jackets

@goosehd Thanks, good to know the initial chart is updated.

Another quick question you may or may not know the answer to -- how much size variance does there tend to be with IH leather jackets? Is it the usual 0.5"-ish quoted for other types of garment?

Our size charts are only ever an average of the most recent batch that we have received. We take Two items from the batch and measure them fully and combine these to find the average. Occasionally there can be items which are slightly larger or smaller in some areas because of the handmade nature of our products. Generally we do not expect more than 0.4" variance in any dimension though.

If you are concerned about a particular measurement with any item then we will be happy to provide the actual dimensions of our remaining stock and confirm this with you before processing any orders. Please let us know by adding an order note or by messaging us at shop@ironheart.co.uk

Im just happy to be here ^_^

Thanks, just placed an order for whichever is the longest... I'm sure they're all the same, but worth asking just in case!

Can anyone offer some sizing advice? I typically wear a medium in Iron Heart. I’m 5’10”, 140–150 lbs, with relatively long arms. Looking at the measurements for this jacket (in brown), it appears to have a more generous cut. Would you recommend sticking with my usual medium or sizing down to a small?

@Edsal17 I have the riders jacket so others may offer better advice for this specific leather, however in general you need to add some extra dimensions to account for the thickness of the leather and lining taking up some space in the dimensions. For me that is an extra .3-.5" in the chest and proportional in the shoulders and waist.
