The broken twill Will was so tempting but I have a Bradley Mountain Raw Denim Cabin Jacket that I need to start wearing...couldn't believe it sat as long as it did but I feel like most people got in on the Rambler and/or weren't paying attention.

@Darth-fader yeah I get that, landing in the land “in between”. It’s always a hard back and forth on what size will fit the best for what you like it to be.
My Y2 scar Kakishibu chore is in that realm. The 42 is pretty much perfect for what it is, it’s a little snug to button up if I have layers underneath. But I mostly wear it open.

But if I had sized up, I would not have like the length of it. So for me the length is often the factor that makes me hate or love it. Iv just learned to appreciate slightly longer shirts then I liked before, because of SJ.
So with my denim Townes in large, it’s was HUGE brand new on me, on every aspects. But I trusted the process. And after a hot wash it became perfect. My favorite shirt. A little long maybe, but nothing that bothers me anymore.

But I understand sizing is often a struggle. It’s for me too. Iv been very lucky with all my SJ purchases that they fit me rather good. Just meant I appreciate and get hyped on everyone wearing SJ no matter the size of the person. I don’t think a certain body type always makes them look better. More like, if you find a fit that makes you feel great, it often shows up, and makes you look that too😎🔥

@Darth-fader same issue with me. I have broad shoulders and long arms. So sometimes the Large fit me a little short in the sleeves but if I size up it’ll just look too big on me and I’m not a fan

@mecken88 I got the Y2 kakishibu chore jacket in a 44 and I think I could have managed to do a 42 but I wouldn’t have been able to button it up or wear anything but a tee underneath. Wearing a heavy sweater or UHF is tough in the 44 but it’s doable

@mecken88 great write up and in addition to that I like having different fits in the rotation, some days I like having something little oversized or relaxed, on others I feel like wearing something form fitting

@FlavourFade amen to that! I started experimenting after hearing the mighty Bjorn talk about layers and the amazing versatility of different sizes for different occasions.

So after that iv pushed my comfort zone and bought a few jackets In slightly larger sizes to be able to layer with. Or as you said, wear oversized for comfort or sometimes more form fitting. It’s great! I’m glad I took the advice! Makes the wardrobe feel more versatile and it opens up more options😊🤘

I got to wondering about the Kurabo Mills
denim used for the new 15oz Wills jacket that just dropped. I didn’t know much about them and upon initial research found that they are a massive corporation with diversified interests in biomedical, real estate, power plants and so much more. Got me wondering about how the denim they produce might be “quality” wise based on such large corporation practices.

Turns out they have a really cool denim history with being the mill that produced the denim for the first all Japanese made pair of jeans by Big John in the 70s.
Interesting article here if ya care to dig into it.
