What's your favourite wine?

[Giles]

@FOXY said in What's your favourite wine?:

is into Chateau Musar

I used to drink a lot of the red in the early/mid nineties when it was an absolute bargain.....

[FOXY]

@Giles only became aware of them in the mid 2000’s…
Good thing is that there are lots great, younger vineyards in Europe with decent bottles in the €10-20 price bracket.
The odd thing in the UK and Scotland is that I can’t find a decent wine shop or merchant - it’s terrible supermarket stuff or stiff-upper-lip, prestigious labels stuff only. Very little in between.

[Giles]

You tried The Wine Society?

[Alex]

@FOXY wine society is good. St John do good wine, and they deliver. I have had some good, more modern wine from The Sourcing Table.

[FOXY]

will check both - did Wine List (from 2020, not The Wine List website) a while back, but they went bust after a year or two...

One very beautiful Orange wine. A classic one from Croatia and a very nice German Pet Nat.

Actually not (since 1918) Alto Adige is a part of Italy

[hajduk]

No prob mate... at least here. It is (or was) quite a controversial issue

Better not start a discussion about it with the locals or Tyrolians in general especially the elder ones

Côtes du Rhône always works good for me.

[ROman]

[Tago Mago]

@endo this is one from Tuscany we bought a while ago

Well, this wine is looking so cool! But unfortunately the taste was extremely awful.
