@deathbydenim Yes, fabrics differ in weight depending upon the colour of the dye, what the atmospheric conditions in the mill on the day of the weave were, and which actual loom did the weaving.
Also, in a western, there is way more farbic used because of the yokes (which are double thickness) and the pocket flaps....

@deathbydenim my purple western from a while back is noticeably stiffer than other colours. must be the colour!
