@catdad1 Negative. Never ended up pimping any shirts with brass snaps, but thanks for the reminder 🙂

I was lucky enough to find one of these on Ebay. It has never been washed and only worn once, but the dude before me wore A LOT of perfume, so it honestly stinks. I have had it hanging outside, but I cant lose all the smell. Is it OK to wash it even though it has basically seen no wear so far? I know the guy before my soaked it once. Thanks!

@Accuria2 It will be totally fine!

Although you could go roll around in the mud in it first if you are concerned 😉

@Accuria2 absolutely fine. Soak it/ get wet through in a sink before you put in the wash to soften it up. Should prevent creases forming

Lay the shirt flat in barely warm water in a bath tub with some Woolite Dark, leave for half hour or so, rinse in the tub with cold water. Drip dry outside. Smell gone but the denim shouldn’t look prematurely machine washed, hopefully retaining some of that new sheen.

Wash it, you will do zero damage if you follow our washing instructions. I'm pretty sure cowboys did not/do not discuss how to wash their denim around the camp fire, and in most cases the fades they achieved is what we are after.....

I wash and tumble dry my IHSH-33 once a week. Sometimes more if my kid spits up on me ha. The shirt looks great and its getting really nice fading on the seams and amazing roping on the hems. I was comfortable forfeiting high-contrast fades on this one but I'm still seeing some honeycombing develop on the arm creases. These clothes are built to last! No need to baby them!

Thanks a lot for the advice! I washed it and can happily report that it came out in one piece. Still a bit of smell in it, but I am hoping it will go away with wear.

Ain't it funny how the highest quality made clothing on earth, at the very top of a category named "workwear," prized for it's ability to show distress and age, can handle the washing machine without falling apart? Who would've thought.

                            😄
