I gave my SExIH25-633 another wash on the weekend, I was hoping to get another month in them, but it’s been a hot summer here.

I’ve been wearing these most days for the past 8 months, but I’m an office worker, so the bum is shiny and the creases aren’t deep. The colour is lightening and the weave and slub is showing through nicely.

This was their second wash, I did this one at 40*C, hoping to get a little more shrink. I’ll measure again soon before wearing.

Fade update! I’ve worn these everyday for the Invitational, these pics are from my April submission.

I’m really happy with everything about these jeans. As others have said, they were comfortable by day 3, but man are they comfy now! Loving how the fades have come in as well. So far I have 1 cold soak and 6 washes. I wear these at work and they get pretty dirty in the field, so not washing just isn’t an option. Fit pic is just after wash #6

@CAliCO_faded Those look fantastic and make me excited to get more time in my indigos. I really like the look and feel of newly washed denim…and think that frequent washing makes for some great looking fades.

Here are my 633-SEx25-OD. They have been my favorite pair for a while now and therefor they get the most time in my rotation. IRL the fades look like a cool charcoal-grey vs the inky blue-back you get with the sulphur od. Feels like the indigo is giving out before the direct-dye od. The fades are pretty faint but truly present, subtly and complex with lots of vertical slub now popping. unlike anything I’ve seen before. great job on these. glad I get to own ‘em.

is the overdye process for these the same as the 888 or 1955 etc? or are these a different type of garment dye?
                thanks in advance

@bradleyjames those cuts come in may fabrics and treatments.

The products will specify whether the are sulfur dyed or direct-dyed. These 633’s are the later. 633-SEx25-OD vs 777-14BR-OD (sulfer) vs 777-14BB for comparison.

Some updated photos of this beautiful denim. I found out recently that my wife and I are expecting a baby girl, and we’re beyond excited to add another blessing to our family. Our two kids got a little messy with the paint for our gender reveal. I thought it was a great opportunity to document it as part of my journey with these jeans. I’ll be giving it a wash today, so we’ll see if the paint stays or goes. The denim itself continues to soften and lighten up after each wash. I’ve got some very minor fraying on the knees. I was half-expecting to have a knee blowout at this point already, but it’s holding up pretty well. I may try some sort of sashiko reinforcement before the end of the competition. We shall see. One soak and three washes.
