@GraemeE thanks for the answer! Not really sure how I would combine them with my wardrobe but they look so cool that I have to get a pair eventually

@Bridger I have to admit that I hadn‘t heard of this company before either and I actually came across it by chance on the Heddels platform one week ago
https://www.heddels.com/2026/04/how-crown-northampton-sneakers-are-resoled/
The shoes have a delivery time of six to eight weeks and since I was not sure whether they would fit, I bought a used pair that looked like new. And I have to say I am very impressed with the quality, especially the comfort. I said to my wife these shoes feel like Brazilian samba dancers are wrapping my feet with their soft hands. Famous last words…….

And here’s a thread for them: https://forum.ironheart.co.uk/topic/13916/crown-northampton-dress-sneakers?_=1776340278739

@Bridger it’s where most quality shoemakers in the UK are based so terrible for your wallet.
-
@Bridger worth looking for the factory shops, could be slight seconds / end of lines available.
Had these Cheany Chukka boots and brogues around 11 years ago from the factory shop
.
Edited for in focus picture

Indeed @NickD. I have a few pairs of Jeffery-West and Joseph Cheaney shoes and boots.
It would be cool to check out whatever of these shoe-makers facilities are open to the public.

Great quote @Marc2706. However, based on your posts, I am wondering if you are talking from experience rather than making a simile

@Bridger Edward Green and Trickers both have factory shops, I think Cheaney and C&J do as well.
