I totally agree @don_pipone
While this Leica remains un-opened, I have a least rekindled my love of taking pictures. Ive reverted to my 10 year old Canon and my even older original Fuji X10. Even those don’t come close to experimenting in the dark-room or pushing Ilford ISOs to ridiculous levels for pure fun.
It was never about resolution or extremities of sharpness and I think buying this thing has reminded me of that.
Maybe that’s why Ive left it in it’s box and kept the receipt! -
It might be a bit small for Adams, @Jett129
I’ve always imagined he’d be more of a Hasselblad man. Who knows!
But its amazing that such a long time ago, he set a standard which is yet to be matched in landscape. -
I had posted this picture a while ago, with the caption “If Ansel Adams had a Lensball” I like to think that at his advanced age he would have enjoyed a smaller camera that he could easily take everywhere. No to mention seeing his work immediately. When I was out at Yosemite, there was an Ansel Adams tour that took you to some of the iconic places that he shot at,but sadly it wasn’t being offered when I was out there. @NorvilleRogers -
@NorvilleRogers congrats to this beautiful and very special camera!

@Marc2706 I’m curious about your technique for picking subjects. Do you pick a spot and wait for the perfect opportunity, or do you take pictures that are spur of the moment (impromptu)? Love your pictures and curious what goes into some of the pictures that you have shared.

Right now the situation is very bad in Iran. I visited the country eight times and I always was overwhelmed by the friendliness und incredible hospitality of the Iranian people. The Iran which you see at the moment with fanatic people on the streets is the Iran of the Mullah regime but not the reality. I do not know what will happen in the future, but I miss this wonderful country with its incredible people.

As you can see, the homemade wine was so sour it nearly made my pants ride up!
