@Jaffy718 @neph93 i had pretty much the same thought process. The third button hits a good way about the waist and I think it looks odd leaving it open. It’s too high to make any functional difference (if you believe the old story about Edward VII).

Not sure if this is the right place to raise that interest but I would be in for an untucked shirt with copper snaps with this color/material 🤞

My IH vest arrived today - but I inadvertently ordered an XL instead of a XXL (which is my usual IH Work Shirt size). I took a photo of the XL vest superimposed on an XXL IH Chambray shirt, and they both measure close to 23" P2P. I tired some fit pictures over that same IH XXL Chambray Work Shirt - and though it seems ok, it will be too snug if it shrinks a little - which makes me wonder if I should consider sizing up to an XXL (which would measure 24" P2P and probably shrink a little to say 23 1/2" - which would be perfect). What do you think?
I put on my lightweight N1 Deck Jacket (an XL) over it making an Iron Heart Tuxedo!

@MarkNo I personally think it fits perfectly, but you need to be comfortable. It looks fitted without looking baggy and think it suits you.

Edit: Just checked the care instructions and it says once washed and all potential shrinkage should be eliminated as long as you was 30c or less and not to tumble dry. You should be fine with that size as long as you follow the instructions.

Many thanks @goosehd - much appreciated!

Even though I wash IH products in cold water and hang to dry, they do shrink a small amount the first time even though they have been one-washed.

@MarkNo I think the xl looks excellent on you. And the xxl will be longer in the body a bit too and yours sits perfect as is. I would keep that size, wash it infrequently in cold water and hang dry.

It should relax a bit too and mould to your body.

@MarkNo that will not be true (as in irreversible) shrinkage. Yes, lubricating fibers, then drying them may result in them tightening a little, despite actual shrinkage having been removed. However that will loosen automatically through wear resulting in the same starting dims. No net shrinkage. There is literally nothing your washing machine can do that hasn't been done 100 times harder by the industrial processes the fabric has already been exposed to.

The vest looks great and that is the correct fit imho. Well done!
