@dwils - Nice! I got my eye on the 38.5 - which should get me close to 39.5 - which is what I need (in that range anyway).

Do we expect this denim to stretch an inch and shrink an inch similar to the 25 XHS?

@MTpockets. I think this denim is sanforized and washed so I don't think you will get much shrinkage. You will definitely get some stretching.

@MTpockets basically if SE was it measures 17” IH way will be c17.5”. If SE thigh is 12” then thigh IH way will be c12.5”

@Gavin666. Is yours on OD? Looks like it is from the picture above. If yes you will get no shrinkage. If not if you wash with cold water and air dry you will probably get no shrinkage either. If you wash hot and thrown in the dryer( not recommended) you might get some

So I picked up a pair of non-OD 633, and they’re pretty darn big. Wondering if I can shrink the hell out of them, since I can’t return them. Anybody have experience?

                    They’re a W34

@WhiskeySandwich. Your best hope will be a hot wash in the washer with spin and then chuck them in the dryer and hope that thay will shrink enough to make them wearable to your liking or try to flip them.

@yannis that’s the plan! They’re were way over posted measurements but I get the difference in methods. They’re in a hot wash after a hot soak now. Gonna blast em in the dryer full heat cycle too lol. Going all in. They’ll probably be a frequent wash pair anyway. I’ll follow up with the results

@yannis in 888 I have 32, 33, 34… I always go strictly by measurements, but SE measurements had me thinking these would be slimmer than my 888. They’re def the biggest pair I have tho. Shoulda gone with a 33

I repeated the process again and got almost zero additional shrinkage, so this seems to be as small as they'll ever be. Thing is, this fabric has a TON of stretch to it, especially after shrinking - they're still about the same as my biggest pair. I might save these for when I grow into a full sized adult male and have worn through a few of the pairs in my existing rotation. Or I might use them as a beater pair, idk.

I LOVE this denim though, really wish it was in an 888 cut. It's like a softer, airy, stretchy, crosshatchier, version of the 18oz Vintage. I really like the slubby weft yarns. I'm not sure if the 633 cut is quite my thing. It's nearly the same as 888, but with less thigh flare, created by more knee room. The rise is nice, but the fly is exactly the same length as my 888s with one less button, which imo is less gooder.

@cyclops The knee and calf are a little looser, which is not where I'd want looseness, personally. The hem is a the same. compared to the 888.
I haven't started a new pair for a long time either tho, so the awkwardness of pre-creasing is there and they feel like dad-jeans. So maybe i just need to break them in.

@cyclops i dont want to deter you from trying them. i just wanted to share my experience. the front rise is nearly the same as the 888. 888 just seems to fit my body type better, but i haven't worn the 633 yet other than a fit check, its not really representative of how they'll be after conforming to my body. Maybe they'll be better! idk yet tho
