Today, I received my jacket and had to return it for a larger size. Despite having a 42-inch chest, the jacket was excessively tight. It is advisable to exercise caution when selecting a size, as the sizing chart indicated that a larger size would have been appropriate.

@Bigred08hd That's interesting thanks for sharing - what size did you order and what do you usually wear? I've been looking at these and fall right between the L and XL.

I picked up 3XL so i have some room for my other heavy denim or UHF pieces which are 2XL. Did order a 2XL IHJ86 as well just to be sure if 3XL is too roomy and it’s sold out instantly. 2XL is tight in arm pits and shoulders with the layering and when working in it. If you just sit/walk this would be ok too.

my wife got me the tag size L and i swapped it for the XL when i picked it up in store. the L was a tailored fit and would have been fine if it only ever had a t shirt under it, though I suspected once the creases set in the sleeves they would have been too short. never imagined I'd be an XL in anything haha, but it was a nice lesson in going off the measurements and not the tag (shout out to @goosehd for the best write up on that). for reference, I'm a tag S in my Dickies jackets and tops.

@dwils I ordered XL. This jacket is constructed with exceptional durability. The 14oz model in this particular design boasts substantial thickness. Additionally, I observed that the Large size I initially ordered exhibited a somewhat snug fit in the arm area. I am a 5-foot-11 individual with a fitness build, weighing 165 pounds, but I do not possess an overly muscular physique. I currently own a Large Type III jacket from Tellason that fits me well. However, when I used the same measurements from this jacket, it proved to be inaccurate.

Question; this is Sanforized & One-Washed, is it a must to soak it before use? What do you guys think?

@Sunnergren. No soak. needed. Its sandorized and washed so all or most shrinkage is already remove.

I also want to say thank you to @Mizmazzle for tirelessly showing his progress on this jacket. Made my decision much easier. Will be the first time wearing something I XXL. Also thanks to Josh at Iron Heart UK for the actual measurements. Will post pictures next week.

@Sunnergren I wouldn’t worry about soaking it before first wear. But when it comes times to wash it, def soak it first to avoid marbling.

I’ve just worn my 888 4 days, and now had to leave them at home for a work trip. I can’t stand it for a 9 hour flight, but I really want to put them on again. However the back of my knee and my hips are thanking me for the paus I think that the black jacket will complement the dark blue of the jeans nicely.

Fresh out the paper bag! This is an XL. Fits a touch tighter than my XL type III Superblack (tho the measurements were darn close) but the XXL measurements on these looked a little too big for my liking. I tried a thin layer under it and it worked.
What do we think!?
