Super interested in trying to pick up the 440 western Japan release. @AdamJ or @ShopatIronHeart is there any best practices or taboos when trying to attempt such a thing or is it just wait until drop and make an international purchase? I am in the US but I prefer this cut over the workshirt that is releasing everywhere else

I’m pretty sure no Japanese retailer will ship iron heart to the US.

Yes. Iron Heart International basically made Iron Heart a thing outside of Japan. It cost a lot to do that. We make a lot of stuff that is specific to the western market (because we know more about what the west wants than Haraki), it costs a lot to do that.
So Haraki does all he can to protect us and our investment, because if we disappear, then Iron Heart will be a shadow of what it is now.
And we all lose out.
We cant stop you buying proxy (though Haraki does try), but every time you or anyone else does, you are actually hurting the viability of Iron Heart as a global brand.

I love this brand and community which is why I asked. I never want to color outside the lines because of the importance of this community and the products we all love, discuss, and purchase. This is super helpful and I hope the west can enjoy the creations of the east in harmony and striking that balance is everything. I never want to use a proxy as it seems inauthentic and off base to what the brand is hoping to accomplish. I hope that model jumps the pond one day or I can make it there to get it myself. Cheers -

What does “brushed” actually mean ?
Notice how on the outside of the shirt you can see the weave of the fabric clearly, but the inside it looks fuzzy. It’s the same piece of fabric, but the inside has been brushed to make it softer and fuzzier. It gives a really nice feel but I feel like it makes it warmer; which is a negative for me being in a very hot climate and still wanting to wear my flannels. Unbrushed gives me more layering opportunities. It also slides over a t-shirt better when it’s unbrushed. It’s not a lot, but enough to create a preference. I tend to size up in my (brushed) UHFs for this reason.
