I will tell you though, you NEED to wear it during the summer.
Hmm, how can I say this delicately..
I, uhm, sweat. profusely

Even in a temperate central european summer you'll find me wearing hardly more than shorts, a chambray shirt and birks..
Why it I enjoy heavy flannels and 21oz denim you're asking? Yea, I've no sensible explanation either

@FlavourFade said in Redline Rally Y4:
we'll get there

Damn straight

-
@tenuin haha I totally understand man. I sweat pretty badly too, especially during our summers. I only say you should wear it then (though it would suck,) because it’s the sweat that truly helps the fades. Without the summer months, my 33 would be no where near where it’s at now.

2 month update on my lefty, love this jacket so much. Feel like I’m putting on Battle armor everyday lol -

Samurai Jeans snakeskin jaquard workshirt and MF modified n1h deck jacket
Snake skin pattern is starting to poke through but it also feels kind of felted/matted down, still excited to see how it develops over the coming months
I got the jacket end of january so not much action there -
Just cleared 10 weeks yesterday.
71 days down!

-
here we go!

-
You guys know how to wear it! Great to see progress so fast!!
1 soak on the IH-227-BLK

-
@worn2fade Love how you’re transforming your piece, bro

-
@denim-dawg I sold it off man! Had to give up on it unfortunately, the fit was not good for me.
-
IHSH-384, a couple of washes but still a crock!

-

3rd month submission, debating on washing it this weekend, not dirty/smelly or anything so may push it another month
Edit also need get some outside shots, inside ones not hitting the same as it looks in person -

Day 98 on my 33-T. I was aiming for 100 days before the first wash, but the submission deadline for the next check if of the Redline Rally is coming up and I wanted to get in a wash before that
Pre wash:

I went with my usual approach. 50C hand wash followed by a 30c / 30 min / no spin machine cycle. I have literally never seen a garment lose so much indigo on first soak or wash.. absolutely crazy...

Luckily the weather was nice today, and I was able to hang it to dry on the balcony and wear it again in the afternoon. I love how its evolved, and how the wash has brought out the highlights that were starting to show

The hot hand wash has brought the shirt in exactly as I had hoped. It was a bit baggy on me before but feels absolutely perfect now.

-
@tenuin Perhaps it would have lost less indigo in a cold wash?

RR 3/12 Update of my 33BLK
Slow but steady
