not much I can offer on veggies as I don't eat them but if you do eat sushi and sashimi, do reach out.. otherwise the usual spots in Osaka revolves around Shinsaibashi and dotonburi. kuromon market is worth having a look. otherwise look up orange street for all your fashion stuff..

So here's what I have plotted so far on my Osaka map.

[List updated 27 Mar with a few places I have visited]

            Fullcount
Studio D'Artisan - small joint, not too much for my liking. The caps looked cool.
            Warehouse
Momotaro - this place was packed and has a queuing system in place. The jeans were flying out of the store. They do hemming then and there. This feels like the "it" brand for the Japanese so far.
The Real McCoy's - amazing store. It is like a museum. If you want to buy a jacket - go here first. I will be back when I return to Osaka in a few weeks.
            Samurai
IH - smaller than I expected. It's out of the way for sure. However, making the trek, I know understand Haraki-san's brand positioning (which is different to how IH is represented in the US and Europe). They are not heritage and they are not fashion. I should have known this from visiting the Tokyo store many years ago but was with the context I have now.
            Hinoya
UES - lovely shop. Lovely lady. Some cool knitwear. Hemming on site. Worth checking out.
McFly - Great guy runs this shop. I scored a brand new release Freewheelers Deck Worker Jacket here. Small but good shit.
Village - a range of brands and good for knitwear. Will probably go back in a few weeks.
            y2
            Boncoura
            Jackman
            The Flat Head
            Aikidou Organic Blue

            And 37 jazz/metal/rock/live music bars

Jazz Record Bar - great cocktails, friendly owner, cool hifi with fuck off speakers, cool tunes
            https://share.google/zy2oChNSxouzOB7Lq

RockBar Guitar-GA - really cool owner, great place to talk shit about great guitarist
            https://share.google/HEhja0OPP8WPLCPBv

Please yell if I have missed anything

It certainly does, however, you should see the list of bars - the evenings will be even busier.

Luckily, I have about 4 days to over-stuff my carry-on allowance. Limiting myself to "must have" items will be the challenge.

@68degreesorless - I just noticed your profile picture!

I have just bought tix to see the Carp play in Hiroshima in April.

From what I have read, the home fans are very committed. I am looking forward to it.

                              Have you seen them play?

@Bridger No, I was there in November so no baseball unfortunately. I would love to go back and see them some day. We made a day trip to Hiroshima and I was smitten by their logo, swag, and the story behind the team. From what I hear, they are quite competitive despite having a lower budget and small hometown. Enjoy the game!

It does sound like the team has an interesting history. I get the impression they are almost crowd funded for lack of corporate sponsorship.

I have seen a few games in Tokyo, but keen to experience a different atmosphere with diehard fans.

Hey all, I am heading to Japan in a week, for a week. Most of my time will be spent in Osaka, with a day in Kyoto and two nights in Tokyo.

I may visit Iron Heart in Osaka, but wondering if anyone has any recommendations? Ive a variety of stores on my list but any "hidden gems" you want to unhide for me? 🙂
