Just put some hot water in a bucket fold them neatly and put them in the bucket. Then turn them inside out and put them in the washer no spin or very lower spin if your washer has that option.

Anyone ever soak before hem?? I ordered with no hem to ensure 888 cut works for me, curious if soaking before I send them back for a hem would maybe offer me more certainty in a length I like.

Indigo XHS I hemmed before soaking and it worked out fine but was a bit nervous

I know people who have like @Mizmazzle for example and people who hemmed before soak like myself. They will not lose more than 1.5 inches and in most cases they only lose an inch. Not sure if that answers your question. Looks like you have already answered your own question

@Ikeaparty id say to just plan to lose up to 1.5”.

If you ONLY soak, there’s a chance there’s still more shrinkage after the first wash (like what happened to my XHS.)

If you wanna really get it out the way I’d say to soak + wash then send them in. If it were me though, I hem before soak and just prepare for a (up to) 1.5” loss.

Just arrived (love DHL, WhatsApp notifications and a live map for last five stops), waist is ever so slightly loose, just perfect, might just be an 888 guy now.. will probably hot soak and then send back for hemming

They're in the tub now! Also, the tonal stitching is awesome. I have a bunch of pairs of 777s but never had an indigo/black anything, been a while since I've been this stoked about pants!

Quick fit check before warm soak. 34’s / unhemmed. Waist is great, hoping for the expected shrink in the top block and length.

I like to wear too many. Was thinking about saving these for IIY6, decided to just wear everything

Still slightly damp, definitely roomier in the top block compared to 777, didn't even try to button bottom three buttons, the higher rise feels very nice, will probably opt to hem vs cuffing but still on the fence, think once they're fully dry and settle in a bit they're gonna be prime
